When to choose PETG
- Parts working in moisture or in contact with water
- Electronics enclosures and mounting brackets
- Car parts (except the dashboard in summer)
- Containers and parts in contact with oils
When another material is better
- Long sun exposure — choose ASA
- Temperatures above 80°C — choose ABS or PA-CF
- Flexible parts — choose TPU
- Cheap decorative models — PLA is enough

The material itself is, but an FDM print has micro gaps between layers. For food we recommend single-use contact only or a food-grade resin coating.
